Written by legendary genre filmmaker Larry Cohen (It's Alive, The Stuff, Maniac Cop) and directed by William Lustig (Maniac, Maniac Cop), Uncle Sam follows the story of Master Sergeant Sam Harper, a Gulf War soldier killed by friendly fire whose body is returned to his hometown just in time for Independence Day festivities. When a group of teenagers accidentally awakens the dead soldier, Sam rises from the grave and embarks on a murderous crusade against anyone he deems unpatriotic, turning a small-town Fourth of July celebration into a nightmare of red, white, and blood.
