Klaatu Records proudly presents the premiere cassette release of "DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW" to the cult-classic television movie starring Larry Drake (DARKMAN, DR, GIGGLES), Charles Durning (TOOTSIE, SHARKY'S MACHINE) and Lane Smith (RED DAWN, THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN) and Directed by Frank DiFiltta, the acclaimed novelist of "THE ENTITY" and "AUDREY ROSE."

DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW is a 1981 made-for-television horror film directed by veteran novelist Frank De Felitta from a script by J.D. Feigelson. When a mentally challenged man (Larry Drake) is brutally murdered by a posse of locals (Charles Durning, Lane Smith) who wrongly accuse him of harming a young girl (Tonya Crowe), a terrifying scarecrow appears and exacts violent revenge on the killers.

The film score is by Glenn Paxton ("AMAZING STORIES") who provides a chilling and suspenseful score for a small orchestrial ensemble aiken to that of Bernard Herrmann utilizing a small orchestra for it's bigger dramatic moments as well as synthesizers as a compliment.
